Suicide Prevention Month: Let’s Talk Mental Health

two hands holding another hand

Yes, I’ve had suicidal thoughts. I consider myself one of the luckier ones. I’m lucky because what I experienced wasn’t as serious as what others experience and have gone through. Over the years I’ve spoken about my depression and anxiety, to which I have turned my journey into my superpower.

However, It wasn’t always that way. In fact, in the last few months, I’ve been adjusting my medication because something wasn’t clicking.

Why am I being so brazen?

Because September is National Suicide Prevention Month. Yet, you hardly hear much about it. Especially with all the political commentary right now. So, I want to do something about it and say something. Below are some resources in case you have a friend, are concerned about a teen, or are having your own thoughts around this topic.

No, for me, this is not my “warning cry” but if you feel compelled, my cell phone is 415.596.9149
